Goodbye

One of the first ideas presented in Antonin Artaud's classic treatise The Theatre and Its Double is that the theatre in no way is representative of normal life; the only moments which the theatre accurately reflects is the chaos that occurs after some sort of calamity/catastrophe.
This also means that life is not the stuff of which drama is made.
And lately, I feel like Artaud's sentiment is true. Even though I've had a variety of absolutely pivotal experiences in my life lately, none of it seems worthy of writing about on here.
So in essence, I will stop posting.
If you'd like, I'm still active on facebook, and I update my music blog semi-regularly.
love,
Bradley

It's nearly four in the morning in early November, and just now are my hands getting a little cold. Fall looked us in the face, stuck out it's tongue, and childishly hid north of here. Now, the stern winter is pushing Autumn out of his territory, telling her to mature a little. And she is maturing. We're finally near the 40's; finally do I feel comfortable going outside. Not only because it's cool enough to prevent sweating, but because I get to wear different clothes. Fall and winter seem to be the only fashionable seasons for men's clothing.

Here's a post on the other blog about what I've been reviewing.
Or...you could just download it.

Well I see that the world is upside-down
Seems that my pockets were filled up with gold
And now the clouds, well they've covered over
And the wind is blowing cold
Well I don't need anybody, because I learned, I learned to be alone
Well I said anywhere, anywhere, anywhere I lay my head, boys
I gonna call my home
Seems that my pockets were filled up with gold
And now the clouds, well they've covered over
And the wind is blowing cold
Well I don't need anybody, because I learned, I learned to be alone
Well I said anywhere, anywhere, anywhere I lay my head, boys

Redo of the Podcast...
May. 26th, 2009 | 07:33 pm
Okay, so I kind of messed up parts of the first podcast...so I rerecorded it. Not only that, but I gave it an ID3 tag so that it shows up in iTunes or Winamp or whatever. I also created a blog to host it. Here you go!

Album Art of 2009
May. 5th, 2009 | 09:18 am
I'm trying to think of album cover art from this year that I liked. We have to vote for this at the station, and last year I was kind of dumbfounded until I remembered Matmos'Supreme Balloon" I've been kind of dumbfounded trying to think of albums, but here are some that I particularly( like )
Can you think of any album art from this year that you particularly liked?

Philip Cohran and the Artistic Heritage Ensemble
Apr. 26th, 2009 | 01:55 am
Hosting the radio show early in the morning after drunken revelry at the Nepalese New Year celebration at Cafe Annapurna, and I'm barely thinking about anything at all. Right now a "New Thing" type jazz piece is playing, all sorts of odd instruments trickling to and fro throughout the track - here is a riff by a thumb piano, here is a sound from a Chinese musette. The liner notes tell me this song is about the "spiritual plateau (Awakening) reached by the Brothers and Sisters assembled at the 64th Street Beach House this past summer...all the blessings of DIVINE INSPIRATION seemed to focus on one little spot beside Lake Michigan." And now I think that this is what I should think about - think about God. But instead, I will post this particular song. If you would like more, I have the album on my laptop.
Apparently only good for 10 downloads.

An unholy cover of Bon Jovi's Living on a Prayer. By me! To you!
I'd only heard the verses for the first time right before recording.
It was a dare for a community on LJ that I'm a member of. I think I did an okay job.
